Students will access Canvas through the Clever Portal. Students will go to​ clever.ccsd.net​.  Once students are logged in, they will click on the Canvas icon,  Getting Started for Students.​ Students may also find the​ Getting Started with Canvas Infographic​ helpful.

Students will use their AD credentials. The AD credentials consist of their first name and personal identification number. Students may reset their passwords by going to ​myaccount.ccsd.net​.

How do parents get an account in Canvas?2020-08-17T16:50:09-07:00

Parents can​ create an observer account​ so they can view their student’s grades and course content. It’s a versatile and user-friendly tool. Go to canvas.ccsd.net. The parent resource, ​ Getting Started in Canvas Infographic​ (translated​ infographic in Spanish​), is a great document as well. This information is also located on the Clark County School District (CCSD) website at https://www.ccsd.net/employees/canvas/canvas-students​.

Are all students required to log in through Clever to access Canvas?2020-08-17T16:43:51-07:00

Yes, all elementary, middle, and high school students are required to login to Clever to access Canvas. Students may access Clever at ​clever.ccsd.net​.

Chromebook Help & OS Updates

Students may use CCSD-issued Chromebooks or their own personal computers on campus, however we are not able to support, troubleshoot, monitor, nor secure personal electronic devices on campus. Information about Chromebook checkout, as well as a troubleshooting and help guide is available by clicking the button below.

Chromebooks will usually  manage their operating system (OS) updates automatically so that the device has the latest software and security features. However, when a Chromebook has not been used for a while, auto updates may get turned off and should be updated manually using the guide below so that auto updates can resume.

Infinite Campus Portal

General Information

  • You have to sign into the website from a computer (not a tablet or mobile device) prior to using the mobile app.
  • If prompted, select Clark County School District, Nevada.
  • If you’re unable to log in to the mobile app (Your account needs attention!), please sign in to the campus portal website.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • Your username is your Student Number.
  • The default password is your first name initial, last name initial, and birthdate in MMDDYY format. (Example: John Smith, Birthday: April 13th, 2001; Password: js041301).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARENTS

  • Most parents created an account during registration for school.
  • If you don’t remember setting up an account/your password, you can come to the main office at Green Valley HS with a valid photo I.D. (Drivers License, Passport, etc.) for assistance.

Password Resets

  • Student password resets may be delivered during class.
  • Parent password resets require verifying your I.D./Activation Key.
  • You MUST log in to the website from a computer (not a tablet or mobile device) before you can use the app!
  • BE ADVISED: If you enter the incorrect password too many times, you will have to complete a Captcha.  The Captcha is CaSE-sENsiTIve.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • Your computer login is your student number.
  • The default password is your birthday in YYYYMMDD format (Example: January 24th, 2003 would by 20030123).
  • Passwords can be changed by logging into a school computer, or by visiting the StuTech Website and selecting ‘Password Reset’, then ‘Student’, then I know my password and need to change it.
  • If you’re unable to change your password on a computer or the StuTech Website, please notify your teacher so they can submit a request an A.D. password change for you.

GAFE – Google Apps for Education

  • All active GVHS students have access to a CCSD-Based Google Apps account.
  • Students can see any of their teachers for their login information.
  • A.D. Passwords MUST be changed on a school computer or the StuTech website prior to accessing Google.
  • Select the second option: I know my password and need to change it. Your current password is your birthday in YYYYMMDD format.
  • A.D./Computer passwords are synced to Google.
  • Changing your computer password changes your Google password.

Nevada Learning Academy

  • Select the second option: I know my password and need to change it. Your current password is your birthday in YYYYMMDD format.
  • A.D./Computer passwords are synced to NVLA.
  • Changing your computer password changes your NVLA password.
  • If you’re unable to change your password on a computer or the StuTech Website, please notify your teacher so they can submit a request an A.D. password change for you.

Microsoft Office 365

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  • Office 365 is available to all secondary (middle/high school) students.
  • It is for use AT HOME, on a personal computer/tablet/phone/etc.
  • Your Office365 username is your student number@ad.ccsd.net (Ex: 9912345@ad.ccsd.net)
  • The password is your school computer (“A.D.”) password.
