Powerful Partnership Scholarship
Sponsor: NV Engergy
Amount: 2 - $1,000 to each school in Clark County with graduating seniors. One scholarship to a home-schooled graduating senior.
Eligibility: Senior planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution which includes colleges, universities and trade schools. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be involved in community service and volunteerism. Children or grandchildren of employees or officers of NV energy may not apply. Students can return completed applications to Stacey Sinicki in the counseling office by March 12th.

Green Valley High School is proud to announce that the total amount of scholarships awarded for the 2008-09 School Year was $6,400,000.

Below is a link to a full scholarship to study abroad in Germany for one year. They select two students from each state. Last year Nevada only had 6 students apply. Students do not need to speak German. Click here for more information.

The School-Community Partnership Program is thrilled to announce the continuation of the "Drive for Excellence" program. Please see the attached 2009-10 overview. Please note, there will only be one event this school year. Students are required to be in attendance at the scheduled event to be eligible for prizes. The event will be held on June 2, 2010, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
During the last three years, Desert Honda donated more than $100,000 each year to promote academic achievement and attendance with our CCSD seniors. The School-Community Partnership Program was elated to have Silver State Schools Credit Union as an additional sponsor of the program last year. They provided additional scholarships and prizes totaling $13,000.

SuperMathTutor is now online for 10th-12th grade students who need to pass the Nevada HS Proficiency Exam in mathematics. There is no cost for CCSD students to use this program.
Students go to supermathtutor.com hoose Nevada, enter their student number and last name, and select CLARK county. Problems with the program should be directed to the Help Desk at the website.
